“وَقُلِ اعْمَلُوا فَسَيَرَى اللَّهُ عَمَلَكُمْ وَرَسُولُهُ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ ۖ وَسَتُرَدُّونَ إِلَىٰ عَالِمِ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ (105)”

Biography of Sister Mayssa M. M. Khalil
Sister Mayssa Khalil is the head of Marhaba and Ajran program (MAP) in Marjan University. She is a professional Qur’an teacher who holds an Ijazah (license) in recitation, as per Qira’ah of Imam Assem Ibn Aby-Elnojoud, a professional Ijazah teacher at Marjan University for Qur’an studies and a certified teacher of Qa’edah Nuraniyah from Al-Furqan center in K.S.A.
With the grace of Allah, the head of the department obtained her Ijazah in recitation as narrated by Imam Hafs with a connected chain to the prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him) in 2021, and her Ijazah with a connected chain as per Qira’at Imam Assim in the year 2023. She was also certified as Qa’edah Nuraniyah professional teacher from Al-Furqan center in 2018. In addition to her degree in accounting from Faculty of Commerce – Cairo University.
Her dedication to teaching Qur’an qualified her to teach both children and ladies lively and virtually. She taught Qa’edah Nuraniayh for non-Arab children at “Marium Ibnat Emran center” in Doha, Qatar, and taught Tajweed to non-Arab ladies. Lately, she has transmitted Ijazah with the connected chain to her first class of certified ladies in reciting and teaching Qur’an to others from “Marjan Programs.”
Recently, Mayssa Khalil co-authored part 1 of her Tajweed book with two other writers “Samar Al-Mawy and Naglaa Khalil”. The book is under publishing, and she is also in the process of writing part 2 of the book.
As a professional teacher, Khalil worked in the field of teaching English as a second language in elementary schools in Doha for fifteen years, the head of English department for kindergarten, academic coordinator for primary stage and she also filled the position of Principal of an international school for five years.
