*Biography of Sister Marwa Shawki El-Kilani*
Sister Marwa Shawki El-Kilan is an instructor of Quraan and tajweed in Marjan Programs, born in Cairo, Egypt, native Arabic speaker. She is a dedicated professional with a background in Islamic studies, Quranic teaching. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies from the Higher Institute of Islamic Studies in Foreign Languages (HIIFSL) in 2018, and a degree from the Faculty of Alsun at Ain Shams University, where she majored in English and minored in French.
Marwa has memorized the Quran, as narrated by Hafs from Assem, and holds an Ijaza (license) for Quranic recitation in this tradition. Her expertise in Tajweed, the art of Quranic recitation, includes mastery of different branches of Tajweed both theoretical and practical.
Marwa had certificates on presenting Islam to non-Muslims and clarifying misconceptions about Faith, from the Bridges Foundation under Dr. Fadel Soliman. Besides to that, she is being certified from Taj Al Karama program (a specialized program in how to live with Quraan and its meanings in our daily life presented by Ayat center ), and Ahsan Al Hadeeth program (a specialized program in the Tadabor of Quraan and its sciences presented by Ayat center )and others.
Marwa is an active Quran teacher, offering both recitation and memorization classes to students locally and internationally. She is a teacher in the New Muslim Academy and Marjan Programs.
In addition to her Quranic work, Marwa had an extensive career in supply chain management. She worked at Schneider Electric holding various leadership positions such as Supply Chain Manager, Supply chain Projects Manager and SAP PP Consultant.
