Laila Mostafa

*Biography of Sister Laila Mostafa*

Sister Laila Mostafa is Head of Arabic Dept. and a Quran teacher in Marjan Programs, born  in Egypt, native Arabic speaker. She is a dedicated professional with a background in Arabic language, Islamic studies, and Quranic teaching. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Cairo University, followed by several courses and diplomas in translation, Arabic Language, teaching Arabic language, and Islamic studies. 

Laila has memorized the Quran, as narrated by Imam Assem, and holds an Ijaza (license) for Quranic recitation in this tradition, in addition to tilawah of Qirat of Imam Abu Jafar, Imam ibn Katherr, and Imam Qaloon. Her expertise is in Arabic language, sciences of Quran, Qiraat, and Tajweed.

Laila  is an Active Arabic teacher, and had designed her own Arabic curriculum for teaching Arabic for non- Arabic speakers. She Designed teachers training program enabling non-Arabic teachers to teach Arabic for Quran understanding. 

In addition to her Quranic work, Laila has an experience in contractual engineering, projects’ control and has been part of translation groups of many international countries.

– Ijaza in Quranic recitation (Assem)

– Ijazahs in several books of Ajjrumiya, Qatr An-nada, Alfiyat ibn Malik, shaza Al-Arf  and other books of Arabic language

Attending several on going courses in tafsir, and Arabic Language 

Laila’s contributions reflect her deep belief  that Quran was revealed in Arabic for all tongues, and the message of Allah should be read in the language He chose for us and every Muslim can learn the Arabic language and understand Quran.
